Brent E. Haden was born and raised in Mexico, Missouri. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. During his time at Mizzou, Haden was active with the Missouri Students Association and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Haden graduated from Harvard Law School in 2002, where he was a member of the HLS Federalist Society and served on the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy.
In 2002, Haden joined Sonnenschein Nath and Rosenthal LLP, where his work was concentrated in commercial litigation and environmental law. In 2004, Haden became assistant counsel and a lobbyist for the Kansas Livestock Association, one of the nation’s oldest agricultural associations. While at the Kansas Livestock Association, he worked in both a traditional legal capacity and as a lobbyist on issues involving environmental regulation and litigation, property rights and eminent domain disputes, and tax and revenue policy. Haden joined Graves Bartle Marcus & Garrett, LLC in January of 2007. He resides in Kansas City with his wife Connie.
